Description

  • Make : Four ITS, Model : MAG-111 are microcontroller based full bore type electromagnetic flow meters specially used for various industrial applications. These flow meters accurately measures the flow rate of conductive liquid & slurries in closed pipes. Due to simple & rigid design, the flow meter is an obstruction less & maintenance free instrument in place of conventional mechanical flow measuring device. The use of ‘ Pulsed DC’ technology offers highest ability & better measuring accuracy in the form of electrical signal 4 – 20mA DC linearly proportional to volumetric flow. The instrument is based on Faraday’s law of electro-magnetic induction. A magnetic field is generated by the instrumentin the flow tube. fluid flowing through this magnetic field generates a voltage that is proportional to the flow velocity. Corresponding electrical output is provided with respect to measuring flow range.

Technical Specifications:

Media: Liquids (Conductive) – This flow meter is designed to work with conductive liquids.

Conductivity: > 5 μs/cm – The liquid being measured must have a minimum conductivity of 5 microsiemens per centimeter.

Viscosity: 200 cp max – The maximum viscosity of the liquid being measured must not exceed 200 centipoise.

Velocity: 0.2 to 12 m/sec – The flow velocity range for this flow meter is between 0.2 and 12 meters per second.

Line Size: 15 NB to 1000 NB – The flow meter can be used with line sizes ranging from 15 NB (nominal bore) to 1000 NB.

Excitation: Pulsed DC – The flow meter uses pulsed direct current (DC) for excitation.

Type of Output: 4 to 20 mA DC, Isolated RS485 MODBUS Pulse

Material Of Construction

Lining: The flow meter is available with two different types of lining – rubber (5mm +/-1mm thick) and PTFE (3mm +/-1 mm thick) – to accommodate a wide range of applications.

Flange: The flange can be made of carbon steel (CS), mild steel (MS), or stainless steel (SS) for durability and corrosion resistance.

Electrode: The flow meter features a choice of electrodes made from high-quality materials including SS 316L, Hastalloy C, or Tantalum to suit the specific needs of your application.

Coil Housing: The housing for the electromagnetic coil can be made from either MS or SS 304 to ensure reliable performance in harsh environments.

Power Supply: The flow meter can be powered by either 220V AC or 24VDC for versatility in a wide range of applications.

Isolation: The flow meter has an isolation rating of 1.4 KV between the input, output, and power supply to protect against electrical interference and ensure accurate readings.

Response Time: The flow meter has a response time of less than 1 second, making it a reliable and fast option for measuring fluid flow.

Transmitter Enclosure: The transmitter enclosure is made from die-cast aluminum and has an IP 67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress.

Flow Tube: The flow tube has an IP 68 rating for protection against dust and water ingress, ensuring accurate readings in harsh environments.

Process Connections: The flow meter can be connected using ASA 150 flanges, or ease of installation and compatibility with existing equipment.

Mounting: The flow meter is designed for in-line horizontal mounting, although vertical mounting is available upon request for added flexibility.
